Registered Dietitians
A focus on proper nutrition during all stages of early childhood development is essential for the health and
well-being of children and their families.
Our Registered Dietitians focus on coaching the child, caregiver or mother in the following areas:
-
Child Nutrition and Feeding
-
Picky Eating and Limited Food Intake
-
Infant Nutrition and Feeding
Pre and Post Natal Nutrition
Infant feeding, child feeding, and pre and post natal nutrition are all crucial areas of focus for new parents and caregivers. Providing proper nourishment to infants and children is essential for their growth and development, and can have long-lasting impacts on their health and well-being.
Meet Kristen Rawlick
Registered Dietitian
In 2011, I graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science with a specialization in Dietetics. I have been working at the Stollery Children's Hospital since and am looking forward to also working in this capacity with Woven Blessings. When I am not working, you can find me walking my dog Pongo or spending time outdoors with my loving husband and adorable kids!
Infant Feeding
Infant feeding involves providing the right balance of nutrients to a baby during their first year of life. This often involves breastfeeding, but may also include formula feeding or a combination of the two. It is important to ensure that infants are getting enough of the right nutrients to support their rapid growth and development during this critical period.
Child Feeding
Child feeding focuses on providing balanced and nutritious meals to children as they continue to grow and develop beyond infancy. This often involves introducing a wide variety of foods to children and encouraging healthy eating habits from a young age.
Pre & Postnatal Nutrition
Pre and postnatal nutrition is crucial for the health of both the mother and the developing fetus. Proper nutrition during pregnancy can help to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery, while postnatal nutrition can support breastfeeding and the recovery process for new mothers.
