TINY TASTERS CLUB

Building positive, confident relationships with food

If you have found yourself struggling to help your child try new foods, you are not alone. Picky eating is one of the most common concerns parents bring to their child's care team, and supporting your child through it usually means looking at the whole picture, not just one piece at a time.

That is exactly why we built Tiny Tasters Club differently.

THE PROGRAM EXPERIENCE

Over 8 weekly sessions, your child will explore new foods in a low pressure, play based environment alongside other kids their age. Our goal is to move past the battle of the plate and focus on building confidence, curiosity, and a healthier relationship with food.

What Sets Us Apart

Most feeding support comes in the form of individual therapy sessions: one professional, one child, one hour at a time. Tiny Tasters Club is built around a multidisciplinary team including an Occupational Therapist, Registered Dietitian, and Psychologist, each playing a specific and intentional role throughout the program. Families also have access to a Psychiatrist for additional support outside of the group, on an as needed basis.

In Every Session
Your child is supported by our Occupational Therapist and Registered Dietitian, both specifically SOS trained in feeding therapy. They work together to address the sensory and nutritional pieces of feeding at every step.

Parent Support
Our Psychologist leads two dedicated parent sessions, during the  first and last session of the program. This ensures you feel informed, supported, and equipped to bring these wins home.

Psychiatric Support
Our Psychiatrist is available to families outside of the group on an as needed basis. If additional consultation or specialized care would benefit your child or family, that support is there when you need it.

This group is a great fit if you find yourself frequently preparing separate meals or if you notice your child tends to burn out on their favourite foods. We are looking for children who might be reluctant to try something new but are able to engage in play and exploration without becoming completely overwhelmed.

Who We Are

We are a team of feeding therapists and specialists who began by asking a simple question: What would it look like to bring our combined expertise together into one program, built specifically for our community?

That question became Tiny Tasters Club.

What started as a conversation between professionals who care deeply about children and families has grown into a collaborative, multidisciplinary program. Each member of our team brings distinct clinical expertise, and together we provide cohesive, well-rounded support designed to meet families where they are.

We’re so glad you found us, and we look forward to supporting your family!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I stay with my child during sessions?

Tiny Tasters Club is a drop off program. Children attend independently without a parent or caregiver present in the room. In our experience, and in the experience of feeding therapists and educators more broadly, children often engage with food, peers, and new experiences quite differently when parents are not in the room. This is not just a logistical choice, it is a therapeutic one, and it is part of what makes the group so effective.

Can I bring a sibling along?

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate siblings during sessions. Our space is reserved for enrolled participants only, so we ask that siblings be cared for elsewhere during the hour.

My child has a food allergy. Can they still participate?

We want to make sure every child is safe and supported. If your child has a food allergy, please fill out a form of interest and we will connect with you directly to discuss whether the program is a good fit on a case by case basis.

What happens if we miss a session?

The group runs as scheduled regardless of individual absences. Our program is built around a consistent group environment with multidisciplinary staffing confirmed for every session, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or make up sessions for missed classes. Registration is a commitment to the full 8 week block, and we appreciate families honouring that so every child in the group benefits from a stable and predictable experience.

What if the program is full? Is there a waitlist?

If this round of Tiny Tasters Club fills up before you get a chance to register, we would love to add you to our list for future programs. Send us an email and we will make sure you hear from us first when the next one opens up.

I have a question that isn't answered here.

We are happy to help! Reach out at feedinggroup@progressivepediatrics.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
